

The lake has much to offer including fishing, swimming, water skiing, boating, sailing and cruises with amazing sunsets. The lake has some great fishing with many fishing derbies throughout the year. Prizes are given away in many categories. In the winter months many fishermen go on the frozen lake for ice fishing. State Parks at the lake:
Kamp Kill Kare in St. Albans town has picnic tables and cooking grills located throughout the park in open and shaded areas. There is a swimming area and a public boat launching ramp. Rowboats may be rented or you can ride the ferry to Burton Island.
Burton Island has tent sites, lean-tos and a marina. This unique campground has no vehicles only park service equipment. There are carts to get your gear to your site. The park does have toilet facilities with hot water showers. There is also a park store with food service, rowboats and canoe rentals.
